Mount Lebanon Invitational
Many of us are preparing to travel to the Pittsburgh area for the Mount Lebanon Invitational. There is a block of rooms at the Radisson Green Tree for guests of the competition. If you have not already reserved your room, you should do so soon. There are expected to be 300 competitors. The hotel is minutes from the rink and only three miles from downtown Pittsburgh. There are several interesting attractions nearby if you arrive early and are looking for entertainment. There is also a pool at the hotel, so don't forget your swimsuit!

Fundraising
The fundraising committee has several plans in the works. We will need all members to participate in order to be successful. The funds will be used to offset the price of the clinic and various activities throughout the year.
Our first fundraiser for the year will be a Skate-a-Thon. Club members will find sponsors willing to donate to the club for you to come and skate for a two hour public session. The club will pay for your session. This is going to take place on Sunday after the 80's show. A sponsor sheet will be made available soon.

Membership
As many of you have seen, the group lessons are growing. We need to make these new skaters feel welcomed, and give them information about your club. Let them know about some of the things we do. You may spark someone's interest. It is important to remember that you all have something in common. You Skate! If you are not sure about membership, you can have them talk to Deanna Donahoe. She is the chair of the membership committee.
